During her first View broadcast, Goldberg said that "from where he comes from" in the South, dogfighting isn't that unusual. "It's like cockfighting in Puerto Rico," she said. "There are certain things that are indicative to certain parts of the country."
Dogfighting in the south is not like developing a southern drawl. Animal cruelty (and those who support it) is not a regional issue. It's a world-wide issue among those without consciences. Your membership card is in the mail, Whoopi.
Oh, and you know what else was once not unusual in the south, Whoopi? Yeah, I think it's safe to assume that you wouldn't chalk that one up to being just another cultural "thing."
